July Jam-Packed with Family Activities in the Omaha Metro!
July is a great month for family-friendly events in the Omaha metro area! From Fourth of July celebrations to outdoor concerts and festivals, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Families can kick off the month with Independence Day fireworks displays, like those at Memorial Park or Werner Park – see a full list of firework events HERE! And as the month goes on, be sure to relax on Thursday evenings at Jazz on the Green and the kids will love visiting the Henry Doorly Zoo for special summer exhibits during the day, and adults can enoy the Late Nights at the Zoo in the evening! Late Nights at the Zoo return with a fresh appearance and familiar summer atmosphere, promising to be larger than ever. Expect an increase in food truck options, themed evenings, and the exciting addition of live local music this season.

Come watch as the Omaha Storm Chasers take on the Iowa Cubs, and then stick around to enjoy an extra-special firework show to celebrate Independence Day!

Discover the vibrant creativity of Benson in Omaha as artists display their work, galleries welcome visitors, music fills the air, and individuals come together to socialize, engage in activities, and unleash their artistic talents with sidewalk chalk and paint while browsing through vendor booths and enjoying delicious food options.

UNO Theatre Summer Musical Theatre Academy has officially named "Legally Blonde: The Musical" as its 2024 Independence Day weekend performance at The Riverfront. This show will take place on July 8 in the Gene Leahy Mall Performance Pavilion and feature talented performers from multiple Omaha-area high schools, supported by the University of Nebraska at Omaha Theatre Department.

Visitors will be able to glimpse the activities that would have taken place at this 1820’s era outpost. A valid Nebraska Park Entry Permit is required for all vehicles to enter the park and can be purchased at the site.

Bring family, friends and well-behaved leashed pets for an evening of music at Turner Park. Enjoy food and treats from area vendors or bring your own picnic dinner and drinks (beer and wine ok, no spirits). The lawn opens at 5 pm with the preshow beginning at 6:30 pm. The main show starts at 7:30 pm.

The Dinner Detective invites you to join us for a night full of mystery and mayhem with lots of laughs along the way! Everyone is a suspect, and the crime could be happening right at your table!
